Job Description for Network Engineer (SCC)
Roles and Responsibility:
Experienced in Cisco IOS and Cat OS in Routing and specifically switching.
Working knowledge along with experience in Firewalls and VPN configurations.
Hands on experience in Load Balancers.
Requires hands on experience on Catalyst Switches, Routers and Routing protocols, Multicasting, Frame-Relay, tools required for network management and/or network management software development, including basic router/switch configuration
Essential knowledge on Network and Data canter security.
Having good knowledge in Systems (Windows and Linux) platform machines.
Must be proficient and comfortable in working with creation of documents and diagrams. Visio, Word & Excel.
Troubleshoot skills, including spanning tree, routing, and hardware troubleshooting. Has a good knowledge of the change control process including risk assessment and scoping.
Experience of security protocols like IKE, IPSec, GTP, L2TP, Firewalls like PIX, ASA, Checkpoint, Proxy etc.
Deliver quality technical assistance on Firewall and VPN technologies
Work with external partners, vendors, and customers to clearly document and distribute FAQs for knowledge transfer and consistently accurate resolutions.
Create the new network design for EOL/EOS device replacement, LAN / WAN Upgrade based on standards, create network diagrams
Hands on Experience on products of Riverbed, IPS, F5, Checkpoint, Packet shaper, Linux and Symantec antivirus.
Understanding and experience on Cisco Wireless products and configuration.
Daily health check up Internet access, Connectivity VPN/Extranet, MPLS, BGP, VoIP, Network Management platforms.
Daily monitor all the factors to update the Site Lead
Responsible to resolve the ticket and update the Ticketing tool systems for clear visibility of issues.
Flexible to work on 24*7 bases, working hours is 7.45 am to 6 PM.

Qualification and Requirement:
Requires Graduate or equivalent computer science and 3+ years of industry experience.
Extensive background in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies required.
Strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols required.
Demonstrated track record of providing outstanding customer service.
Demonstrated ability to accurately gather information and document same in a CRM system.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Preferably Experience in Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix is added advantages.
Preferred candidates will have professional certifications on Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIP.
